"I'm organizing a party for 15 people. I need an adventurous outdoor activity in or around Ghent, Belgium, with food included (there’s 3 vegetarians) on a Friday- or Saturday night in January. Budget is around €75 per person. What can you recommend?"

Just asked this question to a chatbot. As expected… It had no clue what to tell me and promptly redirected me to a human.

To be fair… good luck setting up your flow-based solution to handle a question like that. You've just spent countless hours mapping your intake process, spent even more hours configuring and implementing…
And then a customer asks a question you didn’t account for. Bummer!

Chatbots only work in the simplest of scenarios. And that’s why most people hate them. So what’s the alternative?
An endless form with required fields to make sure you capture all the information you need? Guess what… People hate those forms too!
