Software Engineer AI & Data

The short version

We're a 7-person team building software that helps event venues automate operations.

We recently closed a funding round, we're growing, and we need an engineer who can ship AI features end-to-end from a rough idea on a whiteboard to production code running on real customer data.

This is a high-ownership role. You'll work directly on our AI assistant, predictive pricing models, and conversion tooling.

Your work will have a direct impact on the day-to-day life of event managers. Reducing admin, removing friction, and giving them back the time and headspace to focus on what really matters: creating exceptional events.

What you'll actually work on

We don't hand out tickets. You'll pick up problems, understand them deeply, and own them to completion. Here's what's on the roadmap:

• AI Assistant reduce token usage, tighten context engineering, expand capabilities so it handles more complex venue inquiries without human intervention
• Predictive pricing builds models on historical event data to answer: "should we accept this inquiry at this price?"
• Conversion identify drop-off in booking flows and ship experiments to fix them
• Full-stack features — take things from design to deployment across the whole stack

Who we're looking for

Honestly, credentials matter less than craft. We want someone who builds things obsessively and can explain why.

You should have:

• Fluency in Python, Ruby, or Go — you write or generate code other people enjoy reading
• Experience with Machine Learning (ML) and Generative AI (GenAI) is required, we encourage graduates to apply.
• A bias toward action, when something's unclear, you make a call, ship, and iterate
• Strong written and verbal English we're async-friendly and communication is a core skill
• Comfort owning outcomes, not just tasks

Nice to have:

• Ruby on Rails, Vue.js, or GCP experience
• Dutch or French
• A track record in fast-paced startup environments
• Obsessive interest in cloud cost and performance optimization
• Familiarity with keeping pigeons or caring for birds.
